Animoca Brands Corporation Limited, a gamification, blockchain and artificial intelligence solutions provider, is thrilled to announce that it has entered into a deal with Formula1 in terms of which it will develop a new blockchain game based on the world-famous racing series.

The global licensing agreement will see Animoca Brands developing and publishing ‘F1 Delta Time’ featuring a collectible component that is based on non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and a racing component utilizing these NFTs.

The first phase of the game is due to be launched on 10th May 2019 and will feature NFT’s based on Formula 1 intellectual property.

Formula1 is the most popular annual sporting series in the world.  It hosts 21 races in 21 countries across five continents with its global footprint hosting nine months of racing each year,

Formula1 attracts 1.6 billion television viewers, 506 million fans and 4.1 million race attendees and boasts the most valuable sporting fan base that attracts the world’s most esteemed companies as sponsors, including Emirates, Rolex, Heineken, Pirelli and DHL among a number of others.  Its broadcast partners include ESPN, Fox Sports and Sky.

Animoca Brands are hopeful that the licensing agreement can broaden the Company’s consumer reach considerably and is endeavoring to drive growth and product uptake by leveraging the significant power of Formula1.
