Digital Sports Tech (DST), a player prop betting market provider, has announced the launch of the first U.S. in-play prop betting offering for the National Basketball Association (NBA).  According to the provider, results to date is exceeding all user traction and performance expectations.

In-Play NBA Player Props was launched in December of 2018 and is powered by Digital Sports Tech’s cutting-edge props platform and pricing engine, combing advanced mathematical and predictive modelling with proprietary algorithmic-based odds generation that was designed particularly for live NBA matches.

In-Play NBA Player Props gives sportsbook customers the opportunity to bet on any player’s (statistical) performance in real-time and while play is taking place on the court.  Customers could, for instance, place a bet 5 minutes into the second quarter on LeBron James to finish the match with 30+ points.  It is available to sportsbook customers via its low latency data feed (API) push service and within DST’s BetBuilder product.

DST coverage for its In-Play NBA Player Props offers up to 10 players and 100 individual betting markets per game.

Ari Lewski, Executive Director at Digital Sports Tech commented that betting on NBA is already a top three sport for most global operators and player props are a critical part of their armory, representing up to 85% of total markets offered per game with some sportsbooks.

Lewski also said that there is an ever-growing pool of betters that are now more interested in betting on the star players and their statistical performances than the teams.  He added that for most of them it is a far more engaging and enjoyable betting experience and In-Play NBA Player Props aims to take this experience to a whole new level.
