Matchbook Boxing USA, a world leading boxing promoter and Perform Group, the digital leader in global sports media, are thrilled to announce that they have created a “landmark $1 billion joint venture and the biggest-ever deal in boxing following a major streaming partnership with Perform’s DAZN.

In terms of the historic eight-year $1 billion deal, the joint venture, Matchroom Boxing USA, will stage 16 flights a year featuring a number of the sport’s biggest stars at the very best venues across America.

DAZN, Perform Group’s live and on-demand streaming service, will be the exclusive US broadcast partner for the 16 US fight nights as well as Matchroom’s current 16 fight nights in the United Kingdom. 

This very important investment in the fights, content, talent and promotion of boxing is bound to rekindle fans’ enthusiasm for the sport and captivate a new generation of fight fans.

The Managing Director of Matchroom Boxing, Eddie Hearn, and Simon Denyer, the Chief Executive Officer of Perform Group announced the new joint venture at a press conference in New York.  The industry-first deal has been brokered by the two companies in a way that fans can see the fights how and when they want to, anytime and anywhere.

Eddie Hearn revealed that this is a historic moment for Matchroom and the sport of boxing.  He added that since their expansion to the US, they have been looking for a partner that shares their vision and that can give them the volume of dates and rights fees required to build the strongest stable in world boxing and take it to a new level.
