Playtech, a leading provider of online gaming solutions, has revealed that it has appointed Dr. Armin Sageder, an Austrian entrepreneur and founder of BGT, to act as Chief Executive Officer of its newly established division, Playtech BGT Sports.
The new business division sees Playtech Sports Companies BGT, Geneity, Mobenga, Unilogic and the company’s internal Sports Trading team being brought together.
Sageder will be responsible for all Playtech BGT Sports’ business and customer relations and will be reporting directly to Mor Weizer, Playtech’s Chief Executive Officer.
Sageder will establish and lead a team to manage the division which comprises approximately 600 employees based in Sofia, Bremen, London, Vienna, Malmo and Nicosia.
The company issued a statement saying that Playtech BGT Sports will provide players with a one-stop-shop betting offering that is based on Playtech’s Omni-channel platform technology.
Customers will be provided with a seamless betting experience across all channels and devices with the new platform, with over-the-counter, Self-Service Betting Terminals (SSBT’s), online and mobile. Anonymous as well as registered customers will be offered differentiated sports betting solutions across retail and digital channels.
Weizer revealed that he is delighted that Armin has accepted this role as he strongly believes he is the best person to take their sports betting offering to the next level together with the talent that they have internally. He went on to say that Playtech BGT Sports will provide leading sports betting operators with best-in-class platforms and products as well as a series of unique Omni-channel solutions that they believe will continue to revolutionize retail and online betting businesses alike
