Sportradar, a leading sports data and content solutions specialist has announced that it has entered into a multi-year partnership with sports betting analyst The Action Network in terms of which it will become the company’s official sports data and content provider.
The partnership will see The Action Network utilize Sportradar’s extensive sports data services for its prime subscription product, Action Edge, and to enhance the mobile experience for consumers endeavoring to track their favorite scores and stats in real-time.
Dave Abbott, Sportradar’s Managing Director of US Media, commented that Sportradar, like The Action Network, sits at the center of sports, media and betting.
Abbott also said that as such, they are always looking to align themselves with like-minded brands that understand the shifting nature of the fan experience and how to create engaging, bespoke products for sports fans.
He added that the partnership will also help support the creation of dynamic content, allowing The Action Network to deliver a variety of unique data insights to sports consumers. He also said that with the ability to tell richer stories with deeper context around team and athlete performance, The Action Network is aiming to engage consumers in the moment while they follow their action.
Matt Restivo, the Chief Product Officer of The Action Network, said that the traditional digital scoreboard must evolve to serve bettors.
Restivo also said that Sportradar’s seamless real-time data offering will allow them to do what they do best, which is to serve their audience through their best in class app and memberships. He added that Sportradar will help them efficiently scale the sports that they support, bringing more unique data and information to the consumer.
