The International Gaming Awards, that awards the top operators and software suppliers in the industry for their contribution, is scheduled to be held on Monday, 6th February 2017.

The Isle of Man based online casino software group, Microgaming, has once again been shortlisted as a finalist in several important categories.

Microgaming is a finalist for the title of Best iGaming Software Supplier and will be vying against a number of other amazing suppliers.  This title is always a hotly contested category.

Yet another category where Microgaming has been shortlisted is for the title of Best Innovator, where the competition is also tough.

Microgaming was named Best Innovator of the year in last year’s International Gaming Awards and the group is hoping to repeat this in 2017.

The group was awarded the prize as an opening to the ICE Totally Gaming 2016 expo that was held at the Savoy Hotel in London.   The title was awarded to Microgaming for its VR Roulette product that was designed for use with the Oculus Rift DK2 headset and Leap Motion 3D Controller.

At the time, Roger Raatgever, the Chief Executive Officer of Microgaming, said that it was a fantastic start to ICE and that it was a tremendous accolade for their Research and Development team.  He also said that they were consistently producing pioneering solutions that are effectively shaping the future of online gaming.  Raatgever added that the award was the second of its kind in recent months and that it further cemented their status as the creative force in their industry.
