FSB Technology (UK) Ltd., a leading platform provider, has revealed that it has assisted in launching a new online sports betting site, Black Type, with a specialist focus on horse racing.

The site was created by founders Dave Gowers and Craig Nicholson, who oversaw the revival of 888sport’s racing products while working at Kambi, together with the grandson of well-known owner breeder Robert Sangster’s grandson.

Black Type will feature a special hybrid trading solution which will enable certain sports markets to be controlled by their own team of traders while others will be run by FSB’s London based staff.

Nicholson commented on the launch by saying that having witnessed the evolution of the industry over the past twenty years, the UK market in particular has lacked a quality horse racing-focused sportsbook for a considerable time and there is very little competition for the established, bigger operators.

Nicholson went on to say that they wanted to draw on their knowledge and racing heritage to put that right, but most importantly they wanted to offer a very competitively priced service while also being seen to lay a fair bet.  He added that they are called Black Type for a reason.

Richard Thorp, FSB Technology’s business development director, said he was thrilled that Black Type, which is due to feature on the Oddschecker affiliate site, was now up and running.

Head of Commercial at Oddschecker, Guy Harding, revealed that they are delighted to be welcoming an ambitious new bookmaker to the site, particularly one with a fresh approach and a clear odds focused strategy.
