Casumo, an award winning online gaming operator, is thrilled to announce that it has been granted a five-year license from the Danish Gambling Authority Spilllemyndigheden that will enable it to enhance its service offering into Denmark.
The operator’s focus will revolve around mobile-first strategy for its operations in Denmark and will also embark on a media campaign in order to promote its online services to customers in Denmark.
The Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Casumo, Oscar Simonsson, commented on the announcement by saying that securing the license was an important milestone for the operator and forms part of its ongoing strategy to enter and grow in regulated markets.
Simonsson went on to say that he is confident that the Casumo brand will resonate well with the players in Denmark, especially with those who want to experience a modern way of playing online casino. He also said that they have an extremely strong and unique product offering, which includes their very own custom designed live casino studio as well as the casino rewards system that they pioneered in the industry when they launched in the year 2012.
Prior to securing the Danish license, Casumo also obtained certification to launch in the Swedish as well as in the Italian markets in the past couple of months.
Early last month, Casumo suffered a set-back in the Netherlands when the Kansspelautoriteit regulatory body imposed a penalty of €310k for having offered online games of chance to Dutch customers before earning the legal stamp of approval from the local government.
