The Vice Chairman of mega gaming company, Scientific Games Corporation, Gavin Isaacs, has stepped down from his role. His resignation also incorporates a relinquishment of his seat on SGC’s board of directors. Isaacs has served as Scientific Games’ Vice Chairman for the past two years but has been part of the company for many years before.

Isaacs is no stranger to the gaming industry, and served in the past as the CEO of SHFL Entertainment, the Nevada based slots and table games manufacturer. During his time as head of SHFL, Isaacs was active in supervising the acquisition of Bally Technologies in a massive $1.3 billion deal. A couple of years later, Scientific Games bought Bally Technologies for $5.1 million, just as Isaacs moved over to Scientific.

The executive has not yet made public his future plans in his life after Scientific Games, but he has confirmed that he will remain in the gaming industry which he finds fascinating. He has no plans to leave this business in which he has been successful and active for over two decades.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal quoted Isaacs as saying: “Not retiring, just time for a change. I am planning what my next steps will be. I am committed to getting back into the gaming industry, which I love – not exactly sure in what capacity yet.”
