Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, the owner of the NBA’s 76ers and the New Jersey Devils, have entered into a multi-year sports betting agreements with Caesars Entertainment in terms of which they will work to promote sports betting tied to each team.

The agreement signed by the parties will also see Caesars build a 5,000 square foot “Caesar’s Club” in the Prudential Centre in downtown Newark which is the place where the Devils play their hockey games. The club will consist of a restaurant and bar that offers sports betting services inside. The deal will see Caesars promoting Harrah’s Philadelphia as the premier place to wager on basketball games.

The 76ers will become the first NBA team with a franchise-level casino partnership.

Caesar’s will also promote both teams’ brands using a sports betting app which launched in September in markets that have already legalized sports betting. The app is expected to go live in Pennsylvania some time in 2019.

Michal Marino, the Chief Experience Officer at Caesars, commented on the deal by saying that the reach of these teams is pretty phenomenal. He went on to say that for them, there is a lot of opportunities for activations for fans of both of these teams.

Adam Davis, New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center Chief Revenue Officer, added that Prudential Center and Caesars Entertainment are industry leaders in sports and entertainment. He also said that Caesars Club is a natural way to recreate the world-class Caesars experience for New Jersey Devils Premium Seat members and one million event goers that attend concerts and live events at “The Rock” annually.
