South Korean casino operator Grand Korea Leisure Co Ltd (GKL) has introduced a new mobile application that allows customers to place bets at its gaming venues without using actual cash. The app, called “Sevenluck+”, also uses a blockchain-based player ID verification system for a host of other features, including digital membership and entry passes.
GKL is run by South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. The firm operates three foreigner-only casinos across the country under the Seven Luck brand.
App Comes With Cashless Gaming, Player ID Verification Features
Through the new mobile app, customers can enter any GKL gaming venue without having to provide a passport. They only need to register with the GKL system to receive a unique barcode for their mobile device. They can then have access to the venue by getting their barcode scanned at the entrance.
The players may also link the app to their bank account to enable cashless gaming.
Another key feature of the app is keeping patrons updated with the latest offers and promotions from GKL, eliminating the need to go to a customer service point to inquire about the offers.
Sevenluck+ Still in Infancy Stage
A representative from GKL confirmed that Sevenluck+ is still a month old and many customers may still be not familiar with its features. The casino operator is running promotions to encourage customers to install the app, with more features likely to be added soon.
