Layne Flack is now part of the Poker Hall of Fame (PHoF). The American poker pro was named as the 2022 recipient of one of poker’s most prestigious accolades, defeating the likes of Matt Savage, Mike Matusow, Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier, and Isai Scheinberg.
Flack Becomes 61st Hall of Fame Inductee
The honor was awarded posthumously to Flack on July 10 during a Hall of Fame bounty event at the ongoing World Series of Poker (WSOP) live festival in Las Vegas. Flack, known for his nickname “Back-to-Back”, passed away last year at 52.
The final shortlist for the 2022 Poker Hall of Fame was comprised of repeat nominees, excluding Brian Rast who was nominated to the club for the first time after recently turning 40. 2021 WSOP Player of the Year Josh Arieh, top female poker pro Kathy Liebert, poker legend Mike Matusow, five-time WSOP champ Michael Mizrachi, as well as poker commentators Norman Chad & Lon McEachern, also made it to the final cut.
