Interwetten. a leading online sports betting and gaming operator has announced that it has entered into a multi-year, regional partnership that will see it serve as an official partner of North America’s National Hockey League (NHL) in Germany and Austria, where the company focuses its gaming services.

In terms of the deal Interwetten will conduct marketing campaigns utilizing NHL branding across its online sports betting offerings in Germany and Austria.  In addition, the operator will benefit from branding on NHL digital assets including the official German language version of NHL.Com – NHL.com/de.

Interwetten will also gain access to a complete portfolio of NHL-controlled media assets throughout the period of the partnership.  This includes custom digital, social and email marketing campaigns which focus on building brand awareness and driving new customer acquisition.

Stefan Sulzbacher, a Board Spokesperson for Interwetten commented on the partnership by saying that as a reliable sports betting provider they focus their engagement and collaborations in sports with long-term partnerships with the NHL – the best ice hockey league in the world – and the SIG Group.

John Lewicki, the NHL Vice President of International business development and partnerships, said they are excited to welcome Interwetten as an official partner of the NHL.

He went on to say that Interwetten is a leader in the sports betting category, delivering great entertainment to their customers through creative marketing initiatives.

Lewicki also said that they look forward to working with Interwetten to engage the ever-growing hockey fan-base across Germany and Australia.

The partnership between Interwetten and NHL follows recent sponsorship deals between the operator and the German Ski Association (DSV), the Austrian Ski Association (OSV) and Eurosport.
