Michigan State University’s (MSU) Athletics, MSU Sports Properties and Caesars Entertainment Inc. have entered into a multi-year partnership that will see Caesars Sportsbook named as the Official and Exclusive Sports Betting Partner and iGaming Partner of MSU Athletics.
In terms of the deal Caesars will acquire considerable exposure by gaining access to MSU sports assets that includes fan engagement opportunities, TV signage during basketball games, appearances in broadcast and digital content as well as naming rights to a ‘premium seating area’ in the MSU American football team’s Spartan Stadium set to debut during the 2022 football season and an increase in responsible sports gaming education.
Several MSU-related hospitality assets and VIP experiences will be available to Caesars Sportsbook players as part of the vast selection of benefits offered through the industry-leading loyalty program, Caesars Rewards.
Included in the assets are digital content across MSU athletics, TV-visible signage across basketball, hockey and football together with an outdoor tailgating area and access to special alumni and fan engagement opportunities surrounding varsity sports seasons currently underway.
Eric Hession, Co-President of Caesars Digital, commented that Michigan State has a proud tradition of excellence and partnering with an internationally recognized brand in college athletics is a great opportunity for them.
Hession also said that the Spartan fan base and alumni network is passionate and well-established across the country. He added that they look forward to building upon their connection with them while strengthening the legacy they hold in the state of Michigan and advancing scholarship opportunities through this partnership.
Alan Haller, Michigan State Vice President and Director of Athletics, said that the opportunity to partner with Caesars, a leading force in the sports and entertainment industry, will help enhance gameday experiences for Spartan fans and provide significant resources to support the growing needs of each of their varsity programs.
