Delaware North, the US gambling group, has announced its support for the responsible gambling strategy introduced by the American Gaming Association (AGA).

The public service campaign, known as ‘Have a Game Plan. Bet Responsibly’ will be added by Delaware North to its venues across the US. This includes gambling venues in eight different states and sports betting in West Virginia and Arkansas.

“Responsibility is not only core to Delaware North’s commitment to our customers, but essential to the sustainable growth of legal sports betting,” noted Delaware North’s chief corporate affairs officer Jack McNeill said. “We’re proud to work with the AGA on this important initiative to educate fans on responsible gaming.”

Also commenting was AGA senior vice President Casey Clark who said: “Delaware North’s reach across gaming, entertainment and sports adds an important voice to ‘Have A Game Plan’. We’re grateful for their partnership and leadership in advancing responsible gaming and ensuring bettors have the tools to wager responsibly.”

Delaware North plans to expand significantly across other states during the course of this year. In 2021, it announced a sports betting and igaming joint venture with Gaming1, a sports betting group from Belgium.

With Americans expected to wager $1.3 billion on March Madness this year, the AGA feels strongly about the need to spread the message of responsible gambling by partnering with sports betting operators and teams.
