Leadstar Media, a fast growing Swedish start-up company that operates multiple websites within the sports betting industry, is thrilled to reveal that it has secured an affiliate license that will enable it to begin offering their affiliate marketing services in Romania. The regulated Romanian gambling market is the fifth new market entry from the company this year.
The Romanian online gambling market has been regulated since 2015 and calls for operators, suppliers and affiliates to be licensed. Leadstar Media has been granted a Class II license from the National Gambling Office (ONJN). The license will give Leadstar Media the opportunity to refer traffic to licensed online sportsbooks as well as licensed online casino operators in Romania.
Eskil Kvarnstrom, Chief Executive Officer at Leadstar Media, commented that online gambling in Romania has been regulated since 2015 and still possesses growth potential.
He went on to say that the ongoing shift from offline to online in one of Europe’s most populated countries signifies great underlying growth within the market.
Kvarnstrom also said that obtaining a Romanian affiliate license is a natural next step for them as they work to continue sending their partners the best traffic from regulated markets across the globe. He added that with their new acquired license in place they are looking forward to partnering with licensed online sportsbooks in Romania and starting to send quality referrals.
