The Ukrainian Premier League (UPL) has named Betconstruct-owned online sportsbook operator VBet as the league’s new title sponsor for the following three seasons.

VBet will also sponsor the Ukrainian Super Cup, for which the 2021 edition is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 27th July 2021 in Kyiv’s Olympic National Sports Complex.

Yevhen Dyky, the Executive Director of the Ukrainian Premier League, commented on the sponsorship by saying that this is a new player in the Ukrainian market, which is serious about supporting Ukrainian football and developing sports in general.

Dyky went on to say that they are ready for a fruitful cooperation, which will help to further promote Ukrainian football and make it even more interesting for fans.

VBet has entered into partnerships with AS Monaco and the Armenian Premier League which has seen the online sportsbook operator extend its global presence over the past year.

Anton Svitlychny, the Head of VBet Ukraine’s Partnership Development Department said that they are happy to work with one of the strongest leagues in Eastern Europe, which is progressing and becoming even stronger every year.

Svitlychny also said that this year, 16 professional clubs will play in the Ukrainian Premier League, which demonstrates the development of Ukrainian football and they are happy to be part of this process.

Ukraine recently re-developed its regulatory standards following President Volodymyr officially signing a new Gambling Act into law in August of last year.

Gambling has not yet been officially launched and lawmakers are currently debating a framework for taxation.

VBet obtained its casino and poker license last month.
