ONE Esports, the esports venture of sports media company ONE Championship, is pleased to announce that it has entered into a partnership with social dating app Tinder.

In terms of the deal, Tinder will introduce a range of experiences to Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) fans across Southeast Asia, which fans can gain access to through the app.

Tinder will also launch a new initiative ‘Esports Passion’ which is designed to connect members that are interested in esports and gaming within SEA.

Gaurav Girotra, General Manager Southeast Asia at Tinder & Match Group, commented that more than half of their Tinder members globally are Gen Z between the ages of 18 and 25, and they know that many of them are now spending more time exploring their passion for gaming online in the aftermath of the pandemic.

Girotra went on to say that the introduction of Esports Passion will give Gen Z gamers another way to present themselves authentically as they look to connect with others.

Ten members who include Esports Passion in their profile will have the opportunity to receive 500 MLBB diamonds between the period 15th June and 7th July 2021.

MLBB fans in the Philippines and Indonesia will also be able to participate in the 2021 Community Tournaments in groups of five.

Fans in Thailand and Vietnam will, in addition gain access to exclusive content by streamers TMPT VGamer and Thanh Tung Streamer.  Plus, five tinder members who use Espsorts Passion will have the chance to win ‘ONE Esports’ merchandise.

This latest deal follows another collaboration between the two brands for the DOTA 2 Singapore Major earlier this year.
