Formula One team Williams Racing, through its Williams Esports operation, has revealed that it has entered into a partnership with British racing team Williams Racing that will see it participating in the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) Season X1.

In terms of the partnership, Resolve, a fast developing UK-based organization that recently won the UK League Championship and now compete in the Northern League of Legends Championship, will share its understanding and experience of Rocket League competition with Williams.

Tim Hunt, the Chief Marketing Officer at Williams Racing, commented on the partnership by saying that Rocket League has been a topic of discussion around the team for a while now.  He added that their people play it; their kids play it and it is huge.

He went on to say that regardless of whether it is on track or off it, Williams Racing has an imperative to race and compete, and this is what they will be doing with Resolve as they enter the Rocket League Championship Series Season X1

Hunt also said that this partnership is incredibly exciting; Resolve have made an impressive start to life as a competitive esports team and they are looking forward to being a part of that as they continue to take on the world of esports and expand their audience beyond racing.

Ilias Pajoheshfar, said they are delighted to work with such an iconic brand.  He added that Williams Racing is a big, big name in racing and Formula One and they are huge motor-sport fans.

He also said that the discussions that led to this partnership revealed that they have more common ground than they could have imagined.
