Aland Islands-based operator Paf is thrilled to reveal that it has acquired Sweden-facing no-registration gambling brands Speedy and Speedy Originals from Hero Gaming.
The two brands run the gaming sites Speedy Casino, Speedybet as well as Speedyspel sites in Sweden and the purchase will see Paf become one of the six largest gaming firms in that country, a target that Paf said it had ‘deliberately’ targeted.
Following the new deal, Paf will be implementing its universal loss limit of €20,000 (£17,088 / $23,757 / SEK203.679) per year on the newly acquired sites. The branding of the sites will, however, remain the same.
Chris Fahlstedt, Chief Executive Officer at Paf, commented that they do not have an interest in taking over the gaming sites unless their customers are largely at a gaming level that they accept.
He went on to say that customers will notice that they value responsible gaming very strongly and that they expect any acquisitions to have the same level of responsible gaming that they have on Paf’s other gaming sites.
Fahlstedt also said that they would like to grow in Sweden and they have a determined ambition to be a leading player in the Swedish licensed market.
Tomas Backman, Chief Executive Officer at Hero Gaming, said that he sees the deal as a ‘good win-win strategy in that now Hero Gaming can focus more on the global market.
Backman added that it feels good that it is Paf who is buying their Swedish business as they have a long-term strategy and are well-known for their responsible gaming work.
Hero Gaming was founded in 2013 and also operates the Casino Heroes brand, as well as Boom Gaming, which launched in 2019.
