Online lottery betting operator Lottoland is pleased to announce that it has announced that it has entered into a partnership with sports betting software and services provider Altenar that will see it launch a new sportsbook product in the UK.

In terms of the partnership signed by the parties, Altenar will provide Lottoland with a sports betting platform that is completely managed and will give customers an opportunity to bet on sporting events around the globe.

Altenar also serves as Lottoland’s sportsbook partner in the other ten territories.

The new sportsbook will run together with Lottoland’s UK-facing multi-product platform that also includes lottery betting, scratchcards, instant win games, bingo and casino.

Nigel Birrell, the Chief Executive Officer at Lottoland, commented on the launch of the new sportsbook by saying that their customers are at the heart of what they do, and for that reason they are very pleased to be providing a one stop shop for lottery, betting, gaming and sports.

He went on to say that by continuing to partner with Altenar it means that they can truly focus on customer experience, with competitive pricing, ease of use, market variety and frictionless user journeys all being incorporated into the design.

Birrell also said that they are very pleased to see the finished product live on their site ahead of the Euros.

Last week Lottoland appointed John Hale, a former 32Red executive to act as its new Chief Financial Officer. The appointment was followed by confirmation of the new sportsbook.
